Henry Coley

1633 – 1707

English astrologer and the principal student and successor of William Lilly, Henry Coley carried on Lilly's practice and traditions after the latter's death in 1681. His major work, Clavis Astrologiae Elimata, or A Key to the Whole Art of Astrology (first published 1669, enlarged second edition 1676), was dedicated to Elias Ashmole and praised by Lilly himself. It became a standard reference covering all branches of astrology including horary, natal, electional, and mundane astrology.
