Pseudomonarchia Daemonum (False Hierarchy of Demons)

AdvancedPrimary Sourcecomplete

The definitive Renaissance catalogue of the infernal hierarchy. Appended to his larger work 'De Praestigiis Daemonum', Weyer provides a list of 69 major demons, their titles (Kings, Dukes, Marquises), their appearances, the number of legions they command, and the specific offices they hold. While Weyer was a critic of the witch-hunts, he included this 'grimoire' to demonstrate the complexity of the spirits he believed were deceiving humanity. It served as a primary source for the 'Goetia' of the Lesser Key of Solomon.
