Western Astrology / Traditional Astrology
Genethlialogia, or The Doctrine of Nativities (1658) by John Gadbury is regarded as one of the most important astrological works of the 17th century. It offers an encyclopaedic treatment of natal astrology, covering the significations of the twelve celestial houses and the planets, the art of primary directions, annual revolutions, and the doctrine of horary questions. Gadbury also includes detailed tables for calculating planetary positions and a table of houses for the latitude of London. Building on Lilly's Christian Astrology, the work made advanced natal technique accessible to a wider readership and became a standard reference for generations of English astrologers.
