Discordianism, chaos religion, countercultural occultism

Malaclypse the Younger (Gregory Hill)

1941 – 2000

Gregory Hill (21 May 1941 – 20 July 2000), writing as Malaclypse the Younger, co-authored the Principia Discordia with Kerry Thornley beginning around 1958–1959, founding the Discordian movement centred on Eris, the Greek goddess of chaos. The Principia Discordia became a seminal countercultural and chaos magick text, influencing later movements including chaos magic broadly. Hill spent much of his professional life as a computer programmer while quietly sustaining the Discordian tradition.
