Sepharial was the pen name of Walter Gorn Old, an English astrologer, numerologist, and Theosophist who became a member of H. P. Blavatsky's Inner Group in London and was present at her death. He authored over sixty books blending astrology with Kabbalah, numerology, and occult sciences, including Kabalistic Astrology and The Kabala of Numbers. His prolific output made him one of the most influential popular occultists of the Edwardian era.
