Robert Hindmarsh was an English printer and the principal founder of the New Jerusalem Church in England, forming the first Swedenborgian society in London in 1783. A devoted propagandist for Emanuel Swedenborg's spiritual doctrines, he printed key Swedenborgian texts and helped open the first New Jerusalem chapel in 1788, shaping the institutional foundations of English Swedenborgianism.
