Isabel de Steiger

Isabelle de Steiger was an English painter, Theosophist, and occultist who joined the Theosophical Society in 1878 and the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn in 1888. Her most significant translation was Karl von Eckartshausen's The Cloud upon the Sanctuary, a foundational text of Christian mysticism; she also founded an Alchemical Society in 1912 and wrote extensively on esoteric subjects.
