Esoteric Theosophy and occult teaching

Alice A. Bailey

1880 – 1949

Alice Ann Bailey was a British-American Theosophist who claimed to receive telepathic transmissions from a discarnate Tibetan master known as Djwhal Khul, producing nineteen dictated volumes alongside her own works that elaborated an elaborate system of esoteric astrology, discipleship, and the seven rays. She founded the Arcane School in 1923 and the Lucis Trust in 1922 to disseminate her teachings, becoming one of the most prolific and influential figures in twentieth-century occultism. Her writings form a distinct post-Theosophical corpus that shaped New Age spirituality throughout the latter half of the twentieth century.
