Modern Western astrology and Theosophy

Alan Leo (William Frederick Allan)

1860 – 1917

Alan Leo, born William Frederick Allan, was an English astrologer and Theosophist widely regarded as the father of modern astrology, who revived the discipline in the late Victorian era. He integrated Theosophical concepts such as karma and reincarnation into horoscope interpretation, shifting astrology toward psychological character analysis rather than event prediction. He founded the Astrological Lodge of the Theosophical Society and was the most influential astrological publisher of his generation, producing dozens of popular astrological manuals.
